A popular chicken chain has made its way to Canada, opening its first international brick-and-mortar store in Toronto. The Original Hot Chicken, a fast-casual restaurant brand from Experiential Brands, specializes in delicious Nashville-style hot chicken.
Experiential Brands is a foodservice solutions company based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Located on 20 Carlton Street, the restaurant is designed to accommodate dine-in and take-out experiences. The menu revolves around the chain’s infamous pickle-brined, cornflake-covered, southern-style hot chicken.
Chicken sandwiches, tender baskets and wings are among the fan-favorites on the menu. Customers can choose their heat level, ranging from no heat to extra hot. Not to mention, diners can pair their meals with The Original Hot Chicken’s exclusive ‘Comeback sauce.’ The new location offers halal-certified proteins, accommodating Toronto’s diverse population.
Burger lovers are in for a treat, as this location offers a selective menu from Flametown Burgers. The inside of the restaurant captures the brand ethos with vibrant colors and graffiti-inspired interiors. The chain’s launch in Canada marks a pivotal milestone in Experiential Brands’ international expansion efforts. It also unlocks broader opportunities for licensing partners.
Founder and CEO of Experiential Brands, Aziz Hashim said, ‘With this opening, we’re not just bringing a beloved American concept to Canada; we’re introducing a model designed to empower partners with proven tools for success.’
He continued, ‘The Original Hot Chicken’s vibrant menu and engaging guest experience are a perfect fit for the Canadian market, and we’re eager to collaborate with local licensing partners to expand our presence further.’
The Toronto establishment is the newest addition to The Original Hot Chicken family, joining locations in Georgia, California, New York, and Nevada.
