Three men and one woman have been charged with drug supply offences after police busted the largest magic mushroom lab they have ever found in a Sydney apartment.

Shortly before 9am on Tuesday NSW Police strike force detectives stopped a vehicle in Sydney Olympic Park where they arrested two men, aged 45 and 30.

The men were taken to Auburn Police Station, where the older man was charged with ten offences relating to the supply of large commercial quantities of drugs.

The younger man was charged with four offences relating to the supply of large commercial quantities of drugs.

At about 9.30am, police officers arrested a 28-year-old man at a café in West Ryde.

He was taken to Gladesville Police Station where he was charged with supplying a commercial quantity of drugs.

Just before 10am yesterday, detectives ‘executed a search warrant in Pyrmont where they discovered a clandestine laboratory producing psilocybin, also known as magic mushrooms’.

‘During the operation, search warrants were executed at Oatlands, Campsie, Epping, Rydalmere, West Ryde and Pyrmont, where police seized a large amount of prohibited drugs including 100 bags of magic mushrooms.

‘Police will allege in court the group were responsible for the large-scale supply of a range of drugs including magic mushrooms, cocaine and methylamphetamine.’

All four individuals were refused bail to appear in Burwood Local Court on Wednesday.
