Liberal news outlet finally concedes that ‘Trump is a great President’ days after his historic second inauguration
Politico has finally conceded that President Donald Trump is ‘the greatest American figure’ in recent history.
The liberal news outlet’s Global Editor-in-Chief John F. Harris said that Trump’s second inauguration on Monday put the president in an ‘entirely new light’.
‘For the fist time, he is holding power under circumstances in which reasonable people cannot deny a basic fact: He is the greatest American figure of his era’, he wrote.
Harris noted that Trump’s victory was ‘not a fluke’, adding that the newly-elected president is ‘someone with an ability to perceive opportunities that most politicians do not and forge powerful, sustained connections with large swaths of people in ways that no contemporary can match.’
‘In other words: He is a force of history’, Harris said.
He went on to say that Trump’s political opponents should not treat him as a ‘momentary anomaly’, enforcing how his rivals should accept that ‘he and his movement represent a large historical argument’.
Harris also called Trump ‘the most consequential presidents’, and praised his ‘uncommon psychological toughness’.
‘Imagine running for president amid huge civil suits, criminal prosecutions, and even felony convictions – then emerging from this morass as a larger figure than before’.

Harris’ comments may come as a surprise given Politico’s left-leaning stance as well as the liberal media’s united condemnation of Trump.
This is particularly significant given the fact several liberal media commentators like Politico have lashed out at the newly-elected president and his controversial policies, particularly in the lead up to his move to the White House.

The inauguration proceeded amid heavy security after a campaign highlighted by an increase in political violence that included two assassination attempts against Trump.
The ceremony featured live music, including a performance from country music star Carrie Underwood, as well as remarks from several key note speakers.
The festivities continued with a traditional presidential parade and three inaugural balls in the evening.
Amid the pageantry of the day, Trump signed a host of executive orders as members of the press asked him questions.
Many of the orders reverse policies his predecessor, former President Joe Biden, put into effect during his four years in the White House.
The orders range in topics from national security, migration at the southern border, the use of natural resources and even gender ideology.
Together, they offer insight into the next four years under the Trump administration.

In one executive order, Trump hit put at the Biden administration for ‘censoring Americans’ speech on online platforms’ by ‘exerting substantial coercive pressure on third-parties, such as social media companies to moderate, deplatform or otherwise suppress speech that the federal government did not approve.’
Trump’s policy ensures no federal government agency or employee works to ‘abridge the free speech of any American citizen.’
It also ensures that ‘no taxpayer resources are used to engage in or facilitate any conduct that would unconstitutionally abridge the free speech of any American citizen.’
The president also ordered the US Ambassador to the Unite Nations to immediately submit a formal written notification of the United States’ withdrawal from the Paris Agreement.
‘In recent years, the United States has purported to join international agreements and initiatives that do not reflect our country’s values as our contributions to the pursuit of economic and environmental objectives,’ it says.
‘Moreover, this agreement steers American taxpayer dollars to countries that do not require, or merit, financial assistance in the interests of the American people.’
